Swindon Young Musicians is a subsidiary of Swindon Music Service

As a Music Education Hub, one of our four core roles of the National Plan for Music Education is to support the development of both in and out of school Ensembles.

Swindon Young Musicians supports the vision that ‘children and young people should have the opportunity to take part in vocal and instrumental ensembles’.

Swindon Young Musicians is a membership, subscription club that allows you at attend as many groups and ensembles as the timetable allows dependent upon your musical interest.

Swindon Young Musicians currently consists of:

• Saturday SYM club
• Tuesday Rock pod / Rock School club
• Full membership (SYM & Rock school)
• Platinum membership (See below)

As a member of  Swindon Young Musicians you can get further discounts on individual instrumental & vocal tuition both in and out of school if you are being taught by a Swindon Music Service tutor.

Tuesday Rock Pod & Rock School

Rock Pod is designed to allow anyone who has not learn to play either, electric guitar, bass guitar, drums, keyboard or sing, the opportunity to learn as a group in a non-notational way.  You will be taught by experienced, qualified tutors as you start to develop your musical skills.  Rock Pod leads you into Rock School

Rock School is for the more experienced players.  Here, you will be put into your own band and you will start to develop your own repertoire and learn the skills of playing in a band.

How you can help the charity

As a new charity, we need to fundraise to assist with our sustainability and to continue to ensure that our services all inclusive to all children and young people regardless of their background and life chances.

New Charity Shop

We have ow developed our charity shop where you can purchase SYM logo items; instrumental accessories and we will be offering secondhand musical instruments to sell at competitive prices from time to time.  All the proceeds will go towards our Vivace fundraising campaign. Charity shop
